October 18, 2002, Newsletter Issue #47: How to find a buyer`s agent!

Tip of the Week

Purchasing a home is both time consuming and can be a stressful. However, the experience can be very rewarding. The average time it should take to find a home is 3-5 days of viewing several homes. Plus when you have chosen a home to purchase, you have at least 30 days of escrow. Be sure to give your realtor as much information as possible, this will eliminate the homes that are unsuitable, out of your price range or that do not fit your needs.

In most cases, the realtor you choose will be paid a commission from a split of the selling agent`s commission. In other words, the homeowner will be paying the commission to your realtor. Not to worry, your realtor has an obligation to you to keep your personal information confidential and cannot discuss it with the selling realtor or his client without your consent.
